3 Story home w/ 11 beds! | Close to Pitt & CMU!

Amazing location and great amenities, we fell right at home with this bnb.

several things were wrong with the house when we arrived on Saturday and it wasn't until Monday afternoon that they were fixed. Dishwasher, kitchen sink handle, downstairs bathroom toilet handle, curtain rod in back bedroom. House description says room for 15 people. Plates, glasses, table ware were not enough for even 13. All were provided by Monday afternoon.

We stayed at Jake’s place for a family holiday gathering, and it was a great fit for our needs. The home was clean, comfortable, and well set up for spending quality time together, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. Communication with Jake was easy and responsive, which made the stay seamless. We really appreciated how welcoming the space felt for a special family occasion and would happily recommend it to others looking for a place to gather and celebrate.

Would give this home and host 10 stars if I could! Fantastic home with so much space and the beds were amazing! The entire process was super easy and our stay couldn't of went better. Thank you very much!

What began as a stressful situation quickly turned into a truly memorable experience. Thank you, Jake! The first apartment did not meet our needs, and he immediately arranged a move to another location that offered ample space and was conveniently close to my son’s university. The new space was spotless, extremely organized, and beautifully decorated — the overall environment was incredibly soothing. Everything was arranged so thoughtfully. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. Communication was exceptional, and extending our stay was completely seamless. The gang and I had a great time. Nice place, no complaints. Just keep in mind the parking is a little rough if you have more than 1 car for your group.

We had a great time at the house. The place is large, and there are ample beds and bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans. Being dog friendly was a great treat. There are places in walking distance to get a bite to eat. We had no trouble finding street parking for two cars.

The good news: The house was clean.Jake was easy to work with. Beds were comfortable. The bad news: The house was not as pictured on the website. I felt as if I had entered a frat house. The couches were uncomfortable and sprung. The dining room chairs included metal folding chairs. The blinds were broken and hanging open. There were very few pots and pans to accommodate our party of 7 and were gross and worn. The dishwasher never got anything clean, so we washed by hand. The third story toilet seat hung sideways and we had to continue to position it correctly. We had pictured a fun time on the front porch, but the multiple garbage cans were so smelly, they ran us inside. Not sure the garbage had been picked up for a while. The outdoor furniture moldy and dirty so we couldn't sit out there anyway. We have been renting places for our family for 20 years and Jake's house was by far the worst decorated, uncomfortable, and disappointing we've ever stayed in.

Jake was above and beyond one of the best hosts I've ever encountered on the platform. He was responsive and flexible to the things we asked for and even had his team receive food we had delivered to the house prior to our arrival and had it waiting for us in the house when we got there. Couldn't recommend staying at one of his properties more.

Jake is an Amazing host! He answered any and all questions so promptly and was extremely helpful and friendly! He is really great to work with! The house met all of our needs. We had a group of 13 and so having 3 bathrooms was Great! The front and back porches were a nice added touch. The bedroom sizes were really nice. Everyone said how comfortable their beds were! The 3rd floor bedrooms were a little warm and so we did run the provided fan a lot of the time. It Is a little bit of a trek up to the 3rd floor so if you have older guests you'd want them to stay on the 2nd floor (no bedrooms on the main level.) The street was quiet - which was nice. We could walk to a coffee shop and several places which we enjoyed doing. The one thing that was a Little bit of an issue was the parking. If you're staying at a house that sleeps this many, it's only natural that you'll have several cars. The parking is Tight. All in all - it was a Great weekend for us! Tons of fun! Thank you Jake!

Stayed here for a bachelorette party and had a wonderful stay. House was exactly as described, Jake was very responsive, and there were actually enough beds for everyone our large group. Parking was also extremely convenient, with free spots pretty consistently available on the block or within 1-2 blocks.

For a large group attending graduation (also we always had hot water a big ++++) in Oakland, this was a perfect place. I just wish the kitchen was bigger a kitchen, but we figured it out.

Jake was an excellent host. This air b and b is very comfortable. It makes you feel like this is the house you should have grown up in.

Jake provided a great place to stay. The house was walkable to Pitt campus. Quick drive to grocery stores and area bars and restaurants. Dominos at the end of the street came in handy many times. Parking situation is not the best so the less cars you bring the better. House was clean and plenty of space for what we needed.

Jake’s place was great for my Pittsburgh getaway with my pup! The space is huge and way more than I needed for 2 people, yet I still felt cozy and at home! The beds were super comfy and the house was nice and clean. The location felt safe and is walkable to many good restaurants and things to do. Jake was very friendly and proactive! Would absolutely stay at one of his properties again!

Overall, we didn’t have a great stay here. We felt that the house wasn’t as nice as the photos made it look and we had a few hiccups along the way. When entering, the doorknob fell off the front door which was a little scary from a security perspective. We also had a very hard time finding street parking which was unfortunate and time consuming to drive around to look. We were also planning on cooking everyday but the kitchen was pretty sparsely stocked which made cooking a meal for the family challenging. On the pro side, it did have a lot of beds and they were comfortable which is nice for a big group. At the end of the day though, it didn’t work for us so we ended up going somewhere else for the remainder of our stay.

This home was a comfortable place for us to stay during my daughter’s kidney transplant. Jake was very helpful and accommodating to our situation.

Overall great experience with Jake/Chris and would definitely stay home again. We had a few issues at arrival and the guys were super responsive and immediately found ways to remedy the situation. They even brought more chairs for the dining room as they are in the midst of buying more to properly accommodate the size of the house. Location was fantastic , beds were super comfy and the house was a a great value for the number of people it sleeps. It is an older home but bathrooms and kitchen have been remodeled and are nice. Great place for multiple families… thx guys!

The house was exactly as described and in great condition. Getting in was extremely easy, and we received all the information we needed two days before we even arrived. Jake was quick to respond when we needed to contact him to let him know about our late arrival. He was always friendly and very hospitable. We would absolutely stay at one of his houses when we visit Pittsburgh again.

Amazing location, smack dab in the middle of everything you could hope for. Very spacious place and was easily able to accommodate my large group. Host was super friendly and had a handy guide that answered all my questions before I even checked in.

Was a great place for our two families to spend over the holidays. Location was convenient and space was as described. Wish the large dining room had more chairs to accommodate our large group given amount of bedrooms and large dining table.

Spacious, cozy house close to both campuses. Numerous activities close by. Beds comfy, bathrooms small, with one on each of the three floors. Two washers and two dryers in basement. Only five chairs available in dining room, despite beds for up to 12 people, so we brought in our own folding chairs for our stay. Kitchen adequate for cooking holiday meals, though we needed to get casserole and pie tins. Street parking only, worked out fine. Dogs allowed. Back yard only partially fenced and fencing includes other properties. Tall family members had to be extra careful coming down stairs from third floor due to low, unmarked overhead. Host clear and responsive. Had a great time overall. thx.

We stayed at Jake's during our son’s graduation weekend from the University of Pittsburgh, and it was a perfect fit for our family. The location was ideal, putting us close to campus and all the events we needed to attend. The space itself was clean andcomfortable, making it feel like a home away from home.

Great place for me and my cousins to stay while we all came back into town for a family event. More than enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all 8 of us, great living room to hang out in. Only issues were that there was construction while we were there so street parking was super limited and check out is a bit on the early side at 10am imo, but it's a big house to clean & turn over so I get it! Jake and his team were kind enough to give us an extra hour when we asked. Overall, would definitely stay there again!

Our group stayed at Jake's for a little over a week, and I think I can speak for us all when I say we were overall satisfied with our visit. Initially, we encountered some issues with cleanliness, as it was clear the cleaning service had been a bit lackadaisical. However, Jake and his team were proactive and brought in another cleaner the next day to address the concerns. Aside from that, we felt welcome and, most importantly, safe—a top priority for our group of ladies. I also want to commend Jake for his responsiveness and friendly demeanor throughout our stay. We were in town for a medical procedure at UPMC Presby. It was very easy to get back-and-forth from the hospital and was a great place for us to be able to cook for family and get some rest between visits to the hospital. Jake was accommodating to having our dog with us and very responsive to any needs and questions we had.

Overall, a really great value when you have a lot of people staying. It fit 14 people comfortably. The place had everything it said it would. Parking was not a problem. And the owner had ultra quick response time on every question. If you have a large group, this place is a good one.

The house exceeded my expectations. The rooms matched the pictures perfectly. The deal was incredible, and I believe I got a great price. However, I didn't have any complaints. Everything was in order. I would definitely return if we have a large group. The host was transparent before I checked in and welcomed me virtually as soon as I arrived. I saw this much later, but it felt good to know he was aware.

Jake’s place was clean, homey, and an excellent overall find for our stay in Pittsburgh during a conference. The street was a bit busy as it is a residential street near some commercial spots, but we found parking no problem. Jake had stellar communication before and throughout our stay.

Jake's place was perfect for our Pittsburgh trip. We had 3 sets of parents and 7 boys, all there for a Steelers game and a campus visit to Pitt. The boys had space to spread out on the top floor, parents slept peacefully on the second, and we cooked and ate together on the first. I loved that I could walk to both the Pitt and Carnegie Mellon campus. Jake was super responsive and relaxed, which is great when traveling with teenagers!

This house was perfect for our large group with room to spare. The beds are very comfortable, spacious bedrooms and updated bathrooms. Jake was very responsive and the process was so easy. We would stay here again!

We had an incredible experience. This Airbnb was a perfect fit for our group. It was spacious, clean and well kept up. Our host was incredible on responding in a timely fashion to questions. Jake was a great host. He was very professional and promptly responded with each communication. The beds are very comfortable. The linens were clean and the pillows were great!! The neighborhood was very convenient to get to a lot of places in the city. We could have had a few more chairs. There was a nice big table but only six chairs. We were able to bring 2 folding chairs but when 16 people are there, there’s no way to eat a meal together.

Huge house, def worth it even if you don’t have a ton of people. Easy walk to museums etc… loved it! Kid friendly and safe! Clean and the beds were beyond comfortable.

First I want to mention Mr. Jake is Extremely responsive and attentive. The house is so great, if available this is the house I’d come back to from now on. Great place to be for sure. Really nice house and so big. Even had lots of board games my kids loved it, also very nice big backyard.

I rented this for my lab (students and postdocs) while visiting U Pitt for a conference. It could accommodate a large group, very spacious, perfect location for access to university, and great kitchen/dining/living room set up. Home was great! Clean, matched descriptions, Jake (and team) was VERY responsive, which was very helpful with multiple arrival times for our group. Notes: - this is CITY living, if you’re not from the city, it could seem jarring (near the highway and hospital systems, busy street). However! The proximity to everything was wonderful! Home was surprisingly quiet despite above. Street was full of cars, but I never had a problem parking at all hours of the day. - look through the guide book (available after check-in in instructions)!! Jake has a very easy to follow online guide book for local recommendations and house tips! - the home is three stories and has narrow hallways…just an FYI! There is a dual ac/heat system which made the home very comfortable, especially on upper levels. - note cross streets!! Apparently there are two streets either the same name in PGH, so just ensure you’re putting in the address correctly! Reach out to Jake!! Responded within min-hrs, which was great!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Fit six of us extremely comfortable with plenty of beds/bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The space was clean and looked exactly like the photos. Jake was gracious, easy to communicate with, responsive, and proactive with his messaging. The location was perfect for newcomers to the city as there was a wealth of things to do all within walking distance. Would absolutely stay here again on another trip to Pittsburgh!

Jake’s place was perfect for our recent visit to the Burgh to visit our daughter at Pitt, and to run north to visit family and friends! The place is clean, quiet, safe, on a great street close to many restaurants and other conveniences. Walking distance to CVS, Chipotle, Einstein Bagels, Tamarind Indian (highly recommend), Union Grill (great value), Butterjoint, and all the shops and other restaurants of North Oakland. Jake was an excellent host- his instructions were spot on and only need to communicate with him was to tell him how perfect the place was for us. We will definitely be returning on out future tips to see our daughter and family. The place itself is quite large, linens are very comfortable, the place was spotless and kitchen had all the utensils needed and then some. Thanks Jake your place was spot on perfect for us!

Staying at Jake’s place made traveling with a large group of 16 very easy and comfortable. Great place, Great price, parking was easy and having a 1st floor full bathroom came in handy for my mother in law.

Our stay at an Airbnb property was a mix of positives and negatives. The home was nicely decorated and clean; it was adequate for our 10 person group . We encountered issues such as squeaky floors and cuts in the blinds, tv not working; although annoying, didn’t detracted from our overall experience. Unfortunately, what did detract was that the house was broken into and we were robbed around 4am as we slept. We are grateful that only replaceable material items were taken and no harm was brought to anyone in our group. This unsettling experience overshadowed any positive aspects of our visit . We are left feeling violated. This security breach significantly impacted my review of our stay. I hope that the host addresses these security concerns to ensure similar incidences do not occur in order to provide a better and SAFE experience for future guests.

Me and my family love Pittsburg. I was there for a surgery and was very pleased that it was clean and there was a place for me to sleep that I didn’t have to climb stairs after surgery. My family could enjoy the fine little places surrounding the house. We also enjoyed playing cards and having some meals at the house. Wash very clean and big enough. Felt right at home. Was a wonderful stay, and helped with my healing process till I was able to drive. Would definitely stay again in the future .

Jake is probably the best airbnb host I've had so far, super friendly and well thought out as a host, prompt response as well. I booked this for my parents while visiting my brother in U Pitts, it's 20 ish mins walk from campus. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time, and the house was a great size. We had a group of 15, and everyone was comfortable and had plenty of space. The only issue we ran into was having a hard time finding street parking. Since it was a family vacation, we had 5 cars, and all had young children. It ultimately ended up working out, but it is something to note if you have multiple cars/families! Jake was great and responded quickly with additional parking tips. All in all, it was a great stay!

Jake's property was as advertised and there was plenty of parking as we had 3 cars. There was a lot to do in the area and it was easy to get to places we visited during our time in Pittsburgh. Jake and his team were very responsive when we had questions during our stay, even over the Christmas holiday. We will definitely consider staying here again if we are in Pittsburgh.

House is older and stairs are steep and creak when going up and down. (just something to note if you have issues climbing stairs) parking on the street was our only real issue as we had 2 cars. Great place, super clean and well decorated. we felt right at home. Loved the front porch. The parking was a bit tight at times but we found that people were always coming and going so you could move your vehicle. It was quiet despite being a busy street.

We stayed at Jake’s place for a weekend. I was visiting my son who’s in a college nearby. His place was conveniently located very close to my son’s. It was so cozy it felt like I was at home with my son again . I would definitely recommend it , He went above and beyond to make me and my family feel comfortable.
